Devyn Melvin is a dedicated Communication professional, specializing in social media. She is passionate, open-minded, and brings new ideas to any spaces that she enters.

Her Communication journey began at duPont Manual High School in the Communication magnet. Then she continued and obtained her bachelors degree from the University of Louisville in Communication. She continued her educational journey in Chicago at Loyola University of Chicago, earning her masters in Global Strategic Communication. During her tenure at Loyola University Chicago, she spent two weeks in China studying international branding and advertising. Over a year ago, she decided to combine her interest in the law and marketing by returning to school to get another masters degree at Northern Kentucky University. In May 2025, she will obtain her Master of Legal Studies in Digital Law & Online Technology.

She is still early in her professional career, but she got her start in Chicago with a social media internship and then a stint at a Communication database company. After earning her master’s degree, she returned to Louisville where she spent a little over three years on the marketing team at a “glocal” restaurant technology company. Then she jumped into tourism, economic development, and all things Louisville at Greater Louisville, Inc. — Louisville’s Chamber of Commerce. She’s currently a Marketing Strategist supporting marketing efforts of colleges with hybrid, accelerated entry-level doctorate of physical therapy and occupational therapy programs.

She describes herself as passionate, enthusiastic, curious, and driven. In her spare time she enjoys binging true crime shows and documentaries, reading, spending time with her family and friends, writing, and listening to podcasts.
